Get Paid To Shop? Is BeFrugal.com Legit Or Will It Scam Your Time?

There are a lot of cash back sites out there, but is BeFrugal.com legit and one to be trusted or will it scam your precious time?

My BeFrugal review will show you what you need to know to determine if this is right for you.

It’s sure fun shopping online and if that’s what you’re doing anyway, why not get some cash back from your purchases?

It sound easy to do and you’ll be earning money from your shopping so if this is what you’ll be doing anyway, then it would make sense to sign up for BeFrugal, but if you’re looking for a way to make money with this, then you’re barking up the wrong tree.

The BeFrugal shopping cash back site started back in 2009, founded by Jon Lal, and like Wiki says, it started out just as a coupon site where you can find great deals for your shopping needs.

Then they added the cash back feature which took the site to another level and brought even more benefits to those who are members.

 

 

That meant not only do the members save on the coupons they find on BeFrugal but if they shop through their website, then they will get a percentage of their total purchase back as well.

The percentage comes in various sizes of course and the site is saying they have cash back rates up to 40%, which is probably on the rare side.

The more common cash back rates are at or below 5% and sometimes you will get lucky to get higher than that but it also depend on what you’re purchasing.

They work with many merchants and in fact claim they have a roster of over 5,000 stores, which is quite impressive and you’ll most likely find a store you usually shop at.

The brands come in many different categories as well so you can shop for everyday things like groceries, or buy clothes, or even plan your trips with it and get money back.

As more and more people come online to shop, this is a great way to save money and there are other sites like this such as EBates and Swagbucks.

 

 

HOW DOES BeFrugal.com WORK?

Let’s get into how BeFrugal.com works and how you’ll make some money back.

It’s easy to sign up and it’s free to join.

Once you join, you can just type in the store you want to shop at if you know already or you can look through their site to see what’s available.

You are eligible for a $10 sign up bonus if you can earn yourself your first $10 cash back.  So let’s say you want to book a hotel room from a hotel site that offers 10% cash back.

 

 

You will then click the link for that hotel site inside the BeFrugal.com site which will take you to the hotel site that you want to shop at.

So let’s say you book a room on that hotel site for $120, then depending on the brand’s return policy, then you’ll get your cash back of $12 for this purchase ($120 x 10%) when the return period has lapsed.

Once you earn your $12 cash back, you will then get your $10 sign up bonus.  You have 365 days from the time you signed up to earn the $10 sign up bonus.

That’s the process you would do all your shopping to earn your cash back from BeFrugal.

 

Best Cash Back Rate Guarantee

If you have made a purchase through BeFrugal and then you find a better cash back rate elsewhere, BeFrugal will match it by 125%!

This is pretty good which I’ve never seen before with other cash back sites but you have to act quick and must be reported to them with the necessary info they need within 24 hours of your purchase.

 

How Do You Get Paid?

You will have plenty of great options for you to get paid out and each will have its own minimum payout amount as listed here:

1. Check – Available in US only. Minimal withdrawal $25.
2. Direct Deposit to Bank Account – Available in US only. Minimal withdrawal $25.
3. PayPal – Minimal withdrawal $0.01 (Some older BeFrugal accounts may need to accept the latest BeFrugal Terms & Conditions to enable $0.01 minimal withdrawal.)
4. Gift Cards – Minimal withdrawal is specified next to each gift card type.

I’ve never seen a penny minimal payout amount before for any type of payout option so having PayPal and only need to earn a penny cash back to get a withdrawal, very cool.

I also like the variety of choices you have as payment options.  Although, once you request a payment, it can take up to 10 business days for them to process it which is two weeks.

 

Referral Program

Besides shopping yourself and earning cash back, you can also earn $10 for each referral you send to BeFrugal.

In order to earn your $10 referral, your referrals need to earn $10 in cash back first within 365 days of them signing up which makes sense since they also need to earn that if they want their $10 sign up bonus.

It’s a great referral program if you know how to recruit a lot of people.

 

 

IS BeFrugal.com LEGIT OR SCAM?

No, I do not think it is a scam and that the BeFrugal.com site is totally legit.  They are actually highly rated for this type of site but this is strictly a coupon / cash back site and one of the better ones I have reviewed.

If you’re wondering how BeFrugal is able to give you cash back, it’s because they make money from you when you make purchases through their site.

That link you click on to shop at the store you want from BeFrugal’s site is an affiliate link that tracks you going from their site to the merchant’s site and the merchant gives BeFrugal a commission for the sale they generated.

This process is called affiliate marketing and something I use as well to make money online everyday.

Therefore, BeFrugal is just giving you guys a portion of what they’re earning from your shopping and that’s why everything must be verified before they pay you.

Sometimes that could mean that you won’t get your cash back til a few months later because some of the shop’s return policy can be anywhere from 30 days to 90 days before BeFrugal gets paid, and then when they get paid, you get paid.

Of course, with any site of this type there are complaints but this particular site was truly minimal in the amount of complaints I could find online so this is a good one to try if you want to try a cash back site.

From my thorough research of this site, I can confidently say that I do recommend BeFrugal.

 

 

A REAL MONEY MAKING HOW-TO GUIDE
