I had reserved a little category for myself called “My Ramblings” and thought I would be writing about my thoughts or whatever is on my mind. However, it seems I’ve only rambled twice in my 4.5 month old blog! LOL So much for me rambling?!
Well, I want to change that a bit today and want to update you on some of my personal happenings.
MY WORK
My work is really mostly about this blog, but I also have my doll shop and so I work on orders as they come in but I’m no longer pushing that anymore and the sales just come from my Instagram account.
I don’t want to give up my doll shop just yet because my Expressions Dolls that I’ve invented are pretty cool to me and so I’m a little proud of them. Kind of like my little baby and so I won’t be getting rid of that any time soon.
In fact, I want to make it into a passive income stream instead in the future so I don’t have to make as many dolls by hand anymore. I’m definitely more about passive income these days, thus this blog, and I want to keep building on different passive income streams.
Speaking of passive income, I also want to start another niche site. I know, I may be like the chronic website builder here but this time, I really know what I’m doing. I know how to research keywords and write content that’s self traffic generating. It’s just finding the time to do it.
I still have to find time to continue my Disney site that I’ve kind of abandoned due to this site and my dolls.
This brings me to my scheduling – I need, need, need to schedule my time better!! This is so far my worse area I feel. I’m just doing one thing because it has to get done and then when I feel like I have some time to spare, I end up wasting it.
I don’t want to working all the time, so I need to be super productive during my work time. So this is one of my goals this quarter is to finalize a good working schedule so I’m not wandering from one thing to the next.
MY FAMILY
Keeping the theme of time, I want to start working less on the weekends so that my time with my family is quality.
My husband definitely feel I’m “always” working and I wish I was not so scheduling my time better when my family is not home will also make my family life much better.
So many times I’m only with my kids because I “have to”, not because I want to just hang out and have fun with them, and not that I don’t want to, I just end up on the computer. I want to change this too and having a better working schedule will help me with spending more fun times with them.
MY UPCOMING VACATION
Talk about the best husband in the world! He bought me a girls’ trip to Mexico this past Christmas and I get to go away on my own with one of my long time girl friends to Playa Del Carmen!
It’s a 7 night stay at a beautiful, all inclusive new hotel right on the beach! I’m not a crier, but when I opened that present, I cried! LOL
I’ll be leaving in about 2 weeks and my husband will be working from home the week I’m gone so he can deal with our girls. I’m really lucky!
It’ll be the first time I travel without kids since 2008 and the first time my girls will be away from me for more than 2 days (and that time was under very grim circumstances, this time is actually for fun!).
I still can’t believe I have this trip coming up!

MY 2017
I’m really looking forward to this year and I hope I will make great progress with this site and hopefully others as well. Once I put my work schedule into place, I’m hoping things will be better all around.
This year we also have two family trips planned… one was because I want to go see my favorite band of all time, U2, I haven’t missed a tour since Joshua Tree, and many times I would see them more than once in a tour. This time, only once though. 😉
They are going to be playing in Chicago and that’s where my husband is from and has family there to visit, so it made sense to go there for the concert.
The other family trip will be in Vancouver, where my family is. My parents and my other relatives are there, I’m the lone wolf down in the States. My cousin is getting married this year so that’s why we are going as well.
Besides that, it’s building businesses!

NOT ALL BUSINESS
Sometimes I find it tiring to be always blogging about my niche for this site. This post has really lightened my mood and it’s nice to just write about what’s on my mind.
I will try to remember to write like this more often so you get into my head a bit sort of speak. Hope you’ll all like this. 🙂
