Pinecone Research is a real survey panel that has clients from brands and companies that are looking to collect data from their customer base so they can find ways to improve their product or marketing campaigns.

 

 

It is very hard to get into Pinecone Research because you have to invited to get signed up.  You can’t just go on their site to sign up, it must be through an invite link like the oneS I linked above.

Unfortunately as of this writing, they are only taking people from the United States and France so if you’re not from those countries, you won’t be able to use my invite links.

Once you do get in, you will be invited to take surveys and you must do them consistently as you are invited to.

Pinecone Research is one of the best survey and product testing panels because they are one of the most reliable paying survey sites out there so you are very lucky to have my invite link.

They have also been around for quite some time, one of the longest standing ones still around for like 20 years and have a good, general track record.

Having said that, the Pinecone Research platform is not perfect and they have their issues which I’ll go over soon.

HOW PINECONE RESEARCH WORKS

How To Join & Sign Up:

You will use one of the invite links I posted above and it’ll take you to the sign up form.

After the initial sign up form, you will go through a questionnaire to make sure you qualify to become one of their “panelists” as they call their members there.

Once you are approved, they will email you the surveys and sometimes products to test that you qualify for.

 

How Much Money Can You Make?

The surveys are worth about $3 – $5 a survey and can take about 15 – 20 minutes each to fill out but they say they try to make their surveys as concise as possible.

For product testing, you can earn around $6 and most times you will get to keep the product.  There are times when they would want to product back because they want to see how the product stood through regular use.

They also use a point system where 100 points can be redeemed for $1 worth of cash or gifts.

Your points will expire if you don’t have any earning activity for 12 consecutive months.

 

How Do You Get Paid?

You will get paid your first 300 points ($3) by check that is sent directly to your home, this is to establish your account and profile.

Once that is done, then you are opened to redeem via these various methods: Check, PayPal, Digital Visa Card, or Branded Merchandise.

PayPal option is not for everyone though, you need to qualify for it and be eligible based on their criteria, once that’s met, you will be emailed an invite link to be paid via PayPal.

There isn’t a minimum limit amount of points to redeem.

 

 

PROS & CONS OF PINECONE RESEARCH

Here I will go over what I like and not like about Pinecone Research:

PROs:

• Free Way To Make Money – It’s free to join and one of the easier ways to make money online.
• Pre-Qualified From The Beginning – Because you don’t even get in when you don’t qualify, once you’re in, you won’t be rejected by any surveys that most times happen on other survey sites.  On other survey sites, there are many times people go through more than half of the survey or even get to near the end just to find out they didn’t qualify for it so all that time was wasted.  Not at Pinecone Research, you won’t be frustrated like that here.
• Test Products Before They Come On The Market – You could really have a chance to test products that aren’t even out yet so you will be giving feedback on brand new products that brands need you to check out and provide feedback for before they launch.
• They Pay Well & On Time – Many survey sites don’t even pay or drag on the payout process but not at Pinecone Research, they pay consistently and timely if you have earned your points without breaking any rules.
• No Minimum Payout – this is great but it depends on what’s available in their redemption store and you will see that if you want to redeem using a cash method, you can only do those in certain increments.
• Good Variety of Payout Options – I like that they have several ways you can redeem your points with and the options are good ones too.  Who doesn’t like cash payouts?!
• Good Customer Service – They typically respond within 1 – 3 days but they do respond unlike so many other survey sites I’ve reviewed.
• Sweepstakes – You get to enter for their sweepstakes very time you finish a survey so the more you do, the more entries you get.  You can win anywhere from $500 up to $5,000 so it’s a nice perk.
• Safe Site – Your information won’t be sold to any 3rd parties or clients and so you won’t get a bunch of junk mail from signing up.

 

CONs:

• Invite Only – This is not a problem for you since I have the invite links for you above, but there are many who can’t get in because they don’t know where to get an invite link.  You are welcome to share my invite link to anyone else you know.
• Age & Location Dependent – Even if you got an invite link, you may not qualify because you’re not 18 and over of age or you’re not from the country they want you to be from, so it’s not opened to everyone.
• Few Surveys Are Delivered – Some have complained that even though they are members, they are not receiving that many surveys.  This means that you can’t depend on this as a way to make a consistent stream of income here and that you should go into this as just earning some extra pocket money.
• Accounts Removed – Pinecone Research can still remove your account if they feel you have violated any terms and conditions, or breaking any policies they have, without notice.
• Not A Consistent Way To Make Money – If you’re looking for a way to make money online consistently and maybe even job replacing, then this is not the way to go.  You will not be able to depend on Pinecone Research to provide you a consistent stream of income, you may need to join a few survey sites or do what I do, which is explained below.

 

 

IS PINECONE RESEARCH A SCAM OR LEGIT?

With all the survey sites I’ve ever reviewed on here, I have to say that Pinecone Research is one of the best ones I’ve reviewed and it’s totally legitimate since 1998!

Having said that, you need to look out for and be aware that there are scammers out there who pose as Pinecone Research so you must know that you can’t join unless you have an invite link.

If you’re able to be qualified to be a panelist, don’t screw it up because you probably won’t be allowed back in if you do.

If you can’t do the surveys that they send you, you must notify them if you are on vacation and won’t be available to make their surveys so your account can be put on pause.

Therefore, you must be an active panelist or else you may be kicked out, so beware of this too.

Through everything I’ve seen, I do really like Pinecone Research and you can really make some extra cash on the side with it.
