Paid Online Surveys
A popular way of making fast money online is by filling up online surveys. This is especially well-known to students and young people who want to earn some money in their spare time.
Research companies are constantly looking for new members around the world to fill up surveys and try out new products.
However, the problem with these platforms is that you will waste more time than you earn so the earning potential is not there. You can check some of these survey platforms out in this post here that I’ve listed legit platforms you can try.
Freelance Work
When people ask me, “How can I make money from home online?”
One of the first things that come to my mind is freelance writing or freelance work.
A site like Fiverr.com can give you a platform to get clients from offering online services that you may be good at.
It’s a fast and effective way for you to earn good money on the internet. You will simply sign up in freelancing platforms, set up your profile, and look for writing jobs or other tasks you may know how to do.
From graphic design, to video making, to writing, to editing, to doing social media tasks, to being virtual assistants, there are many things you can do to earn money online on Fiverr.com or similar platforms.
LONG TERM STRATEGIES TO EARN ONLINE
The long term strategies I like to use to earn online involves building yourself an online business and there are two ways that you can really do this:
Why I use both of these is because they can earn you in multiple ways and you can get massive free traffic from search engines.
A blog website will earn free traffic if it can get ranked on Google, Yahoo, and Bing and a YouTube channel can get free traffic as well by ranking on YouTube as well as Google.
It’s important to build a free traffic online asset such as a website or YouTube Channel because that is how you can get a lot of visitors not only for free, but done automatically once you start building these two assets out.
How you can earn on both:
Advertising
A lot of blogs have Google Ads or other advertising networks to earn from the traffic they gets on their websites. You usually need apply to be approved as well as having more of an establish website in order to be approved.
This just means you have to have some blog posts on your website first before applying and once approved, it’s not hard to set up to start earning.
Usually, once you’re approved and set up, the revenue you can earn from ads can be a few pennies a day to even $100 a day.
Advertising currently accounts for about 25% of my total blog income.
Consulting
If you’re an expert in a certain topic, you can offer online consulting services. However, this method of earning online will still take some time as you will need to build an online presence so people can learn about you.
Your website or YouTube channel (or both) will earn people’s trust by providing tips and recommendations related to your topic. Your target audience must trust you first before you can offer them your services.
The good thing is, this method is lucrative and you can earn a really good income by providing one-on-one and group sessions through Skype, YouTube Live, and other means of communication.
Sell Your Own Products
You can also sell your own products, like software if you’re a developer, photos if you love photography and traveling, paintings, etc. You can even teach something you’re good at by making an online course to sell.
Once you make your own product, you can drive traffic to your course by blogging on your website or making videos on your YouTube channel about your topic and recommending visitors to check out your product that can help them on that particular topic you’re helping them with.
This one will come in time and I wouldn’t start with this one.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is by far my favorite way to earn online and you can do this method of earning online whether you have a blog website or YouTube channel.
Affiliate marketing is basically promoting other people’s products and services. You earn a certain amount of commission, depending on the company, for each sale they make through your efforts and your affiliate links.
There are a lot of ways you can earn online from your home. However, if you are looking for a great way to earn long term, I strongly recommend that you start your own online business using affiliate marketing.
You may earn from paid online surveys and other small gigs, but if you are looking for a career, they may not be ideal.
You might be worried about how you can start your own online business when your resources are limited. Affiliate marketing is a good place for you to start as a beginner because it’s simple to get into and very low cost to entry.
How Affiliate Marketing Works
Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to start your online career because it’s a business model that’s easy to understand and you can sign up to affiliate programs for free, most of the time.
The first thing you need to do is choose your niche. I recommend that it must be something you love, like a hobby, or have knowledge about. It will be difficult to create content for something you don’t know or have no experience with.
Do your research and check if your topic is profitable. You will have a hard time promoting products that don’t have any appeal to customers. Also, it shouldn’t be too profitable that you have to compete with well-known companies. Find the balance.
Your niche must be specific. If it’s too broad, you are not really targeting a particular audience and that will also give you a hard time selling.

For instance, if you choose the relationship and dating niche, you can narrow it down to women who just got divorced and looking for new relationships.
This way, you’re targeting a specific audience and you can address their specific problems.
Build your blog website or YouTube channel once your niche is picked.
Look and sign up for affiliate programs. There are many companies that offer affiliate programs for their products and services.
Do thorough research on these products to see if they are profitable or not. Also, check how much commissions you’re going to earn from these products and ensure the products are high quality.
Weigh in the pros and cons and decide if these programs are good for your business.
Once you have your blog or YouTube channel is up and running, you must create unique and useful content relevant to your niche. It must be something your target audience can use or apply to their everyday lives.
Share your content on your social media accounts to get more visibility.
Once people notice your blog site or YouTube channel that provides tons of value, they’re going to keep coming back for more information.
Keep creating content until you become valuable to your followers.
Once they trust you, you can now start promoting your affiliate products. It will be easier to convince them to click your affiliate link once you have gained their trust.
Be consistent. Keep making content and keep engaging with your readers. Remember, any type of business is a continuous process. Continue to work hard and devote some of your time to make your affiliate marketing business stronger.
TRAINING IS IMPORTANT
So the things I mentioned here are the basics of affiliate marketing. It may seem easy, but unfortunately, that is not always the case. I’ve made a lot of mistakes when I was just starting and it can get frustrating. I decided to get training and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made.
You might be thinking that everything now is available on the internet for free. When it comes to affiliate marketing, unfortunately, it is not.

So when I get asked, “How can I make money from home online?”, I always will recommend affiliate marketing through a website or YouTube channel because they are the biggest online assets you can build to really make a consistent stream of income for you, but you must get the proper training for a better chance of success.
Without training, you don’t want to get the wrong information from all over the web, instead, taking courses will allow you to have all the information you need in one spot.
