It may seem easy to do to make a little side cash with GetPaidToTry but most of these types of sites will end up giving you more headache than not.
You will see in my review below why GetPaidToTry will not bring you the kind of money you’re looking for and you will really just waste your time.
I’ve been reviewing get-paid-to (GPT) sites for awhile now and this one is not too much off from the others and I’ll show you why.

WHAT IS GetPaidToTry?

The GetPaidToTry.com website allows you to earn some money while completing some surveys and taking on offers where you can try different products and services.
This GetPaidToTry site is only available for those who reside in the United States, so sorry if you’re abroad.
The GetPaidToTry site is not a market research firm though so you will be offered different survey platforms to go fill out your surveys at.
There are two other ways to also earn money on this site which is to refer your friends and family with the unique referral link that they give you in the member’s area, and join their paid emails program where you can get paid to read emails.
When you sign up, you will get a $5 instant activation bonus, and there is also a way to earn $20 extra bonus as well by filling out offers on that bonus page.
So it would seem easy to earn some money here, even if it’s a little bit, but you’ll be getting more than you bargain for if you join this site.
As I was researching this program, I came across many complaints and dissatisfied members and I will go into them in the next section.
HOW GetPaidToTry REALLY WORKS
Once you sign up, they’ll want you to fill out your profile so that you can qualify for surveys and show you offers that apply to you.
You will be earning mostly from completing offers, reading emails, and referrals here and you’ll be invited to surveys that you will qualify for.
Surveys usually don’t earn you that much at around $0.25 to $2 and you’ll have to spend 5 – 40 minutes on them depending of how long each one is.
The offers involve having you signing up for something, subscribing to something, or doing some kind of trial.
One must be very careful about taking on these offers because some will ask for your credit card info, some will make you pay for the product itself, and some will make you pay for shipping and handling.
You also need to be careful about free trials that require your credit card info because that usually means they will start charging after the trial period which could be 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days, etc.
Most offers earn anywhere from $0.50 to $5 depending what’s at stake and how much time you’ll be using.
The paid emails will not be earning much about a penny to five pennies for each email you read.
If you’re apart of this program, you will get emails with a link in it which you’ll have to click to have your account credited for reading that email.
For referrals, you can earn $0.50 for each referral you’ll bring in.
How Do You Get Paid?
You can get paid out when you reach their minimum threshold of $20. Your choice of pay out options are PayPal and check.
Having the PayPal option is great and you can get paid within 48 hours.
The check option will take longer and have the risk of having it lost in the mail.
Complaints About GetPaidToTry
There are a lot of members not happy with this site so I want to bring attention to the main complaints people have so you can avoid them or this whole site all together.
However, these complaints are not unusual and are quite typical of GPT sites like GetPaidToTry.com.
#1 Complaint – Major Email Spam & Unsolicited Calls
Once they have all your personal info, it seems like they will sell your info to lots of companies because this is one of the biggest complaints I found for this site.
It’s almost instant that you will receive many sales calls and be bombarded with major email spam.
There are even members saying that they can’t even get off any lists since the unsubscribe links don’t work.
#2 Complaint – Surveys Not Qualifying
This is definitely no surprise here, surveys are a major time waster because you will not qualify for most of these so making you not have a lot of opportunities here to earn any money.
You’ll even experience filling out surveys almost to the end and then find out you’re not qualify for it which is a major rip off if you ask me.
There are just low surveys you are offered.
#3 Complaint – Offers Are A Rip Off
One member complained about having to pay for shipping and handling which was $4.95 but then it was not just $4.95.
Once she agreed to the $4.95, the site brought her to another page where she was being up-sold, but even though she said NO to those up-sells, she was getting charged $80.
On top of that, she was going to be charged another $89 in 14 days after that!
So, if she didn’t call them to get this all voided, she would have lost a lot of money and she wouldn’t make anything from completing this offer since she’s out so much money.
This is just a member who actually voiced her concern but what about all the members who didn’t notice this and gotten charged over and over again?
Also, once you’re offered one thing, then you’re offered another right after another, making it hard to know where you were supposed to stop to earn the money from the initial offer you wanted to complete.
IS GetPaidToTry A SCAM?
Yes, I think GetPaidToTry.com is a scam because you’re not going to be making much money on there and you’re just being bombarded with spam.
You should probably avoid this site at all cost since you should protect your personal info from them as much as you can.
If you already have an account with them, I would use the “cancel my account” option in your member’s area, I did see that you have this option.
There’s no way you’ll be able to make enough money to even cash out. Those that actually was able to reach $20 don’t see any money anyway.
You will be left with nothing but a big waste of time!
These types of sites are never a big money maker but if you want to do these kinds of online activities for money, I’d rather recommend you to try Swagbucks (read review here) instead because they give you more legitimate opportunities to earn plus they actually pay you when you reach your minimum payout.

A REAL WAY TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE
If you really want to make money online, going on these get paid to sites is definitely not the answer. You will not earn the kind of money you’re looking for, even if it’s a little.
In this day and age, you’ll need to work at building an online business instead where you have control of how and what you’ll be earning from.
