People looking to make money online will often look at doing surveys as there are some legitimate companies out there that do pay you for your opinion. One such company is Valued Opinions and today I will show you in my review if Valued Opinions is a scam or legitimate.
One thing to know about surveys is that you don’t generally make a lot of money. Instead, you will use more time than you are making money and when it comes down to it, you will be making less than minimum wage.
I’d rather use my time to build a long sustainable online business but some people still like to use their precious time that you can’t get back on taking surveys.
That’s okay, whatever you’d like to do to make money online is up to you, let me get to my review so you can learn what you came here to learn about!
In my Valued Opinions review, you will find:

WHAT IS VALUED OPINIONS?
Company Name: Valued Opinions
Website: valuedopinions.com
Owner: Research Now Ltd.
Recommended? No.
Valued Opinions is a marketing research firm that started in 2004. Branded companies go to them to get the opinions of the public on their products and services.
In turn, Valued Opinions collect your opinions on the companies that pay them for the data. They collect your opinions by offering you rewards in exchange for your thoughts.
At Valued Opinions, you can fill out surveys but also test out products in exchange for the same rewards program for the brands they work with.
This could be fun for some to be in the position to affect a company’s product launch.
Many also like to fill out surveys because it’s easy to do and you can do it at the comfort of your own home.
That’s the best part of making money online, you can do it at home or any location you please that has an internet connection.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
To become a member a Valued Opinions, it’s very easy to do and it’s free.
You go on to their website and register for free, then you should fill out the profile survey. This is important because they need to know what surveys you qualify for and to send you.
You don’t get anything for your time to fill out this profile survey.
Once this is done, you will start getting survey offers in your email. You will usually get 2-4 surveys a day depending if you’re in the demographic that the brands need.
Each survey is $1 – $5 if completed in full, however, most are paid at the lower end of the spectrum and each survey can take up to 15 to 30 minutes to fill out.
Once you’ve completed a survey, your account will be credited right away. If you do some other types of testing or focus group type task, your account can take up to 6 weeks to get credited.
REWARDS SYSTEM
You will never get paid cash at Valued Opinions. You only get to redeem your credits earned for gift cards which could be at many major shopping places you have heard of like Target, Amazon, Nike, Visa, and more.
You can’t redeem anything until your account is at least $10.
The only thing is that some gift cards cost more than what the value is because of the “processing fees” they impose on some cards.
For example, you will have to pay $22 for a $20 Amazon gift card, which I find very annoying. Who wants to do another survey just to pay for processing fees?!
THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT VALUED OPINIONS
In my research, I have found some pretty eye opening complaints that I’d like to summarize here so that you can make a sound decision before joining Valued Opinions.
#1 Complaint – Surveys Can Close Without Notice
The surveys only need a certain number of people to fill them out so when that quota is met, your survey will close no matter how much time you’ve already spent on that survey.
You will also not get any credit for any portion you’ve completed.
#2 Complaint – Less Surveys When Getting Close To Redemption Limit
The closer you are to your $10 limit, the less surveys you’ll qualify for. Now, that’s apparently common with a lot of survey sites so this is not just for this site.
#3 Complaint – Gift Card Selection is Limited
There are a few gift cards that are pretty good like Target and Amazon but the choices in general is limited compared to other sites I’ve seen.
#4 Complaint – No Cash Payout
Not having a cash payout option even to PayPal is a real bummer. Most people look for that option when making money online, people don’t want to make gift cards online.
After spending on that time making hardly anything and then not getting a cash option is very disappointing.
#5 Complaint – Not Qualifying For Surveys You Get
It’s super annoying that you get surveys emailed to you but you don’t always qualify for them. You have to spend time qualifying for it in the first few minutes of the survey just to find out you don’t qualify.
You can spend a full 5 minutes filling those out and not get anything for it.
#6 Complaint – Hello? Are You There?
There isn’t a lot of support there at Valued Opinions. You could be emailing them and you won’t get responses.
IS VALUED OPINIONS A SCAM?
I can say Valued Opinions is not a scam and that they are legitimate but they just have those quirks above that people don’t like about them.
Although a legitimate survey company, I don’t recommend them because you are not making a lot of money and in the long term, there is no chance of that increasing.
If you build an online business on the other hand, you can do just that. You can build something that is sustainable in the long term and have your income increase the more you work at it.
In the next section I will tell you where you can start such a business!
WHAT’S BETTER THAN TAKING SURVEYS
Like I was saying just in the last section, building an online business is the best way to make money online that will last in the long term and also you’ll be the one in control on how much you can make.
To build such an online business, it’s best to get yourself some training because instead of trying to research this all over the place on the internet and risk getting into bad scams, you can just join a trusted training platform that can teach you a proven path.

Once upon a time Valuedopinions was a good panel. I always got paid. Then Dynata took over this panel and e-Rewards. I too received emails for both panels stating I wasn’t honest and that I had more than one account and because of that, my account was flagged and suspended. I’ve already contacted BBB.org and suggest anyone who reads this do the same. I also contacted the local Attorney General in Texas where Dynata is located and filed a complaint. If we can get some government agencies to intervene, we may see our money!
