WHY IS AFFILIATE MARKETING SO GOOD?

Affiliate marketing gives you so much freedom to earn in many ways and it’s really the easiest way to get an online business going with very little investment compared to a lot of other options as well as the freedom to work from anywhere.

If done right, affiliate marketing can provide you with a lifestyle that many can only dream of.

Let’s start with what affiliate marketing really is to make sure we’re on the same page.

Affiliate marketing is the promotion of other people’s products or services and earning commissions from those promotions if you could get someone to click on your affiliate link and buy the product or service you are promoting.

Not having the need to create your own products to sell is one of the most attractive things about affiliate marketing.

I have created two online shops before with my own handmade products and I can tell you that hands-down, there’s no way these shops of mine could have generated the kind of income my affiliate marketing business has given me without all that headache.

When you’re a shop owner or need to create your own product, there are so many hats you have to wear from creating the prototype, figuring out how to package it, how to ship it, how to get wholesale vendors for your supplies, how to create the shop itself, how to market the shop, how to collect payments, manage customer service, to dealing with returns, and the list goes on and on…

With affiliate marketing, you could eliminate so much of that list!

With affiliate marketing the benefits are long:

• You don’t have to own or create any products.
• You’re not locked into one company and its products like if you were to join a MLM company, you’re stuck with one company.
• Promote any and many products you like – Almost any product or service online will have some type of affiliate program you can get a hold of.
• Low cost of entry –  No inventory to buy or hold, you just really a blog which is very cheap and just a matter of buying a domain name. If you want success though, getting proper training is best but the cost of this is still way lower than any physical product type of business.
• Flexible to do on your own schedule.
• Potential for full time income is extremely high.
• No manual labor, not physically demanding.
• Location independence – having a blog can allow you to work from anywhere with just a laptop and a wifi connection.

With all these benefits, it is by far, one of my favorite online businesses so far, and I have been trying to make money online since 2012.

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE AFFILIATE MARKETING A SUCCESS

Now most who try affiliate marketing will probably fail because of the ease of entry, most won’t see it as a real online business and they only “dabble” in it.

That’s a big mistake.

You must treat this as a business because that’s really what you’re doing, building a business.

So what does that really mean?

It means that to success in affiliate marketing you will need the following:

 

#1 – A Website

Anyone who does affiliate marketing without a website won’t last too long.  If you want to do this for the long term and/or make a full time income, it is imperative you have a website for people to go to.

Having a website builds trust, a following, and a bigger online presence.

The best kind of website you could use is a blog WordPress website because a blog allows the flexibility of you being able to write articles that will rank on search engines.

What’s the purpose of your blog website though?

Is to help the people in the niche/topic you choose.  You see, affiliate marketing is not about selling.  It’s about recommending.

That’s one of the keys to making money with affiliate marketing.

If you’re able to provide value information to your audience, then they will more likely buy from your links or even LOOK for your links to make sure you get commission for it.

 

 

#3) Patience & Consistency

Another reason most people quit is because they don’t understand how this online business works which is grows very gradual and you need to have a long term outlook when getting into this.

Most people will lose patience after their initial 3 – 6 months because they don’t see any traffic or results happening so they think it doesn’t work.

However, the 3 – 6 month mark is only the beginning and that’s when search engines only START to give you any notice and start ranking you.

I mean, look at my results for my 2 years, I hardly made anything in my first year and then boom in my second year, that’s when I started making 4 digits:

Working consistently throughout your blogging journey is very important as well because I don’t think search engines like big breaks since I have seen several other blogs lose rankings and traffic because they took breaks.

As you can see in my image above, I have been working hard at my blog.

Did you notice something else?  I worked even harder when things weren’t going where I want, instead of quitting, I stepped it up.

Look at the results though, so damn worth it!

I really don’t know what my 3rd year will look like but I’m on track to be earning $60K or more, so is that a full time income?  You bet ya!
