You’ve come to the right place because I can tell you right now that it’s a WASTE OF TIME!

I have done my research on this company and all I find are red flags which I’ll show you below in my review of American Consumer Panels.

They sure make this company as believable as possible but I’ve reviewed hundreds of products and programs and can pick out what seems legit and what doesn’t.

I will tell you everything I’ve found about this company and will let you know why you should stay away!

My American Consumer Panels review will be detailed out in the following sections:

WHAT IS AMERICAN CONSUMER PANELS?

American Consumer Panels Logo

Program Name: American Consumer Panels

Website: american-consumer-panels.com

Price: Free

Recommended? No!!

This American Consumer Panels claims that it’s a consulting company that tests products and do product develop work for their clients.

They say they specialize in In-Home Usage Testing (IHUT) where they conduct product testing locally and nationally to provide brands and companies feedback on their products from actual users.

American Consumer Panels home page

The feedback from the tests would go back to their clients once users have done the testing and then their clients can improve their products according to the testing results.

Their client list shows that Apple was one of their clients along with other brands you may or may not have heard of.

In order to fulfill their client requests, American Consumer Panels needs to hire product testers across the country to test these products which is where you come in.

Of course this sounds like a fun thing to do since you get to receive new products to try out and give them feedback on them and you can do this all from the comfort of your own home while making good money too.

However, if only American Consumer Panels was a real company.

You see this is whole site is a scam, there is no American Consumer Panels company of any kind.

This is just a website built to look like a real company that’s hiring people to do in-home product testing, they make every effort to look like a legit company but I’ve done my research and will prove it to you that it’s not real.

HOW AMERICAN CONSUMER PANELS REALLY WORKS

In this section, I will give you all my research results and why this American Consumer Panels is all one big sham to get you nowhere.

#1 Proof – There Are No In-Home Usage Tester Positions

This is the top proof that this is not real.

When you click on the “Apply to Product Testing”, you will come to a page where it tells you the positions that are available supposedly and of course one of them is for “In-Home Usage Tester (Product Tester at Home)” which is where most of you will go.

They explain how you’ll make lots of money for your time like $25 – $45/hour and you’re guaranteed 15 – 20 hours of work.

So they make this very attractive for anyone who wants to make a little extra cash on the side to do this from home.

Then you’ll click the bottom link to go to application, then you’re taken through 5 easy questions and then you end up to a page where they will take down your email address, in which most will enter their real email address since they think this job is real.

Then, you’ve hit the scam – after all the hoops you just jumped over and given them your personal email address, they just want you to sign up to two survey companies so they can make money from your sign ups.

For every confirmed sign up at those survey sites, the crooks behind American Consumer Panels will earn a dollar or two from each of your confirmed sign ups.

These survey sites have NOTHING to do with in house product testing, I know this because I had already previously reviewed them: MySurvey and VIP Voice.

They are very low grade survey sites where you don’t make much money at all and in fact one of them don’t even earn you ANY money.

VIP Voice is just earning points for sweepstakes entries and bidding on prizes, talk about a waste of time!

MySurvey shuts down accounts when you approach payout limit, all time wasters!

#2 Proof – There Is No American Consumer Panels

American Consumer Panels is not a real company and does not have an office in the One World Trade Center in New York.

It claims its address is in that building on the 85th floor but when I look at the Wiki directory for the building, there is no American Consumer Panels on that floor:

American Consumer Panels Wiki Confirms They are not in One World Trade Center

The phone number is just a message as well which I’m sure no one will return your call if you left any messages.

This company is not incorporated in any way (Inc., Co., Ltd., LLC, etc), it’s just a name that they came up with that sounds similar to real companies like American Consumer Opinions and National Consumer Panels so they sound legit.

#3 Proof – There Is No Trademark For American Consumer Panels

You will see on the American Consumer Panels that they use the trademark symbol on their name everywhere on their site.

American Consumer Panels Trademark is fake

So I went to the United States Patent and Trademark Office website to check it out since I’ve done these types of searches before from something I wanted to trademark and I did the broadest search for their name American Consumer Panels.

Oh what a surprise (not), no results:

American Consumer Panels No Results for Trademark

#4 Proof – No Real Call To Action For New Clients

On their home page where they are explaining their services and what they do, the only call to action for any new potential clients is for them to email to a general “sales” email address and no phone number?

American Consumer Panels No Phone Number for Booking Their Service

What legitimate business would just tell potential clients to just email them?  A legitimate business would have the phone number prominently displayed.

That’s because they don’t need any clients and all the brands on their page listed are fake.

#5 Proof – Fake News Stories

They claim to be in the news but I know that you can just pay to get your story on news sites.

One of the news sites American Consumer Panels links to is a news site that’s total out of date.

On usfinancialnewstoday.com, any story you click on is from year 2015 or 2016, nothing is in 2017 or 2018, this is not a real news site.

The other news site Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is legit, and how they got on there is by using the services of ABNewswire where you can pay to have your press release (fake or real) submitted and if it gets picked up by a real news site, then you’re golden.

American Consumer Panels Uses Press Release Service

American Consumer Panels AB Newswire service

Of course this is all done to make American Consumer Panels look like a real company.

#6 Proof – Scam Only Started In 2015, Not 2006

American Consumer Panels makes every effort to try to tell you that they’ve been in business since 2006.

Yet, their domain was only registered since 2015 and you can see that if you do any whois search on their domain:

American Consumer Panels Did not start in 2006

American Consumer Panels Domain Started only in 2015

In their fake press release, they explain this discrepancy saying that they’ve been in business since 2006 but only haven taken this company online since 2015.

I laughed so hard.

The internet started in 1995, any legit company that’s started any time after this would have an online presence especially if a company that supposedly started in 2006 and it’s a national brand!  Why would you wait 9 years to go online in this day and age??

This is one big lie and they have only been scamming people since 2015.

#7 Proof – Real Testimonies

These real testimonies from glassdoor.com that confirm they experienced the same thing I did:

IS AMERICAN CONSUMER PANELS A SCAM?

Thumbs DownYes, this American Consumer Panels is a big scam and you need to avoid this unless you like to fill out surveys that pay you nothing.

There is nothing real about American Consumer Panels and you’re just being tricked and deceived into signing up for survey sites (horrible ones at that which I didn’t recommend in my reviews) just so they can make money themselves.

They also got your email address now so all you’ll get is spam, not only from American Consumer Panels, but because you may have signed up on those shady survey sites too, you’ll be triple spammed since that’s what survey site do too.

There is nothing more for me to say about American Consumer Panels than don’t touch it!

I have to conclude that I do not recommend American Consumer Panels.

  5. Hi Grace,

Thank you so much for taking the time to do the hard work and research that scam site for the rest of us. I was just getting ready to do just that when I saw your post in the search area. I’m so grateful and thankful that you went to the time and effort to do all that! I hope that others will see this first before they become victims to another scam site. I was right there getting ready to do it when that part of my brain said “this just doesn’t sound right”, so I backed up and started researching myself when I saw your post about it being a scam and read your page. So thank you so much.

I am glad to see that you are being successful at making money at home online. I am newly unemployed myself and I am exploring the idea because I’m getting older now at 56, and thinking of alternate ways to work since I would like to start spending time with my grandchildren more as well. I wish you much success with your business!

    Best regards,

    Susan =)

  7. This is a very good article, I can see you did your research. I am a trained P.I. and your call is valid. I can also tell that you are a WA member, and although WA is technically not a scam, they have some very unscrupulous practices. If one obeys the rules of common decency, it is fine. What I mean by that is WA teaches to use scam busting as a means to get good rankings. I have seen many people with WA call legitimate companies scam in order to get signups. Most of these ppl would not qualify for crossing guard, let alone a scam buster. There are also those that use outsourcing to get articles written, and do not pay the writer. Please stay honest, and you will do well.

    Reply
    • Hi Randall, What WA teaches is not unscrupulous as they do NOT tell people to call anyone or companies scams when they are not. The individuals doing that, they are the ones being unethical, not WA. WA has nothing to do with them and everyone who writes has their own responsibility to write the truth.

This product for sure is a scam and I wouldn’t say so if it wasn’t. We doing product reviews is NOT just in WA or just in this industry. Product reviews are done throughout many industries and it’s a proven way to get traffic which is NOT black hat method or anything unethical to write product reviews.

In fact, I’m doing a SERVICE to people who needs the information. I always write what I see.

Appreciate you stopping by and providing your opinion, but American Consumer Panels is a waste of time and I want to tell people that so there’s NOTHING wrong with writing reviews to provide this VALUABLE information to my readers.

Best of luck to you Mr. PI,
      Grace
