Blogging is actively a huge part of the internet today. Every layman out there is seemingly engaged on blogs.
Some are doing it for leisure while others are strictly doing it for monetization.
The latter is not a bad thing as long as the content and services are reputable and legitimate.
Monetizing a particular site via blogging is plausible. And by my experience, the gains that you can get from it are extremely significant.
Does blogging make you money? Yes, it does and I’ll give a glimpse of what’s possible later.
The more important question is… how?
Well, that’s the very thing that we are going to answer today.
You see, anyone can think outside the box when it comes to generating income from blogs. But the thing is, most of these ideas might not work in the long run.
So, let’s take a look at proven ways you can monetize your blog so you can make money from it in the following sections:

How to Monetize Your Blog?
Before anything else, allow me to give you some of the methods that can make your blog a money-generating machine.
Aside from being an excellent hobby, your blog can also become a great venue for revenue. In fact, other people are already making a career out of it.
At first, it might sound unbelievable. But since there are a lot of success stories that revolve around this, it is already the high time to remove your doubts.
Here are some of the methods on how to earn money from your blog:
- Creating a Business Directory – This one gives you the opportunity to promote products and services. If your blog has a lot of audience and they are typically asking for various recommendations, then you should take advantage of that. Create a business directory out of your site and earn money from listing businesses or selling their products directly.
- Ad Spaces – Many bloggers are already implementing this strategy as it can be done easily. They are making spaces in their blog for banner placements. Sites that have large traffic are the most ideal candidates for this method since they can reach out to a large network of potential clients.
- Sponsored posts – When you have more of an established blog, you’ll have the opportunity to offer sponsored posts where a company or brand want you to either evaluate a product or service for them or pay you to get their guest post on your blog.
- Your Own Products/Services – You can offer your own products or service one day if you have an ebook you wrote or offer coaching services to your readers. You will have to establish yourself first before you take this one on though.
- Be An Affiliate Marketer – Earning money by becoming an affiliate to third-party retailers is quite a sound idea. Basically, you will act as a promoter, endorsing the products that are being sold by online stores like Amazon and then earning commissions when you make sales. The more products you can sell through referrals, the more money you can earn.
What’s The Best Monetization Method?
Personally, I really love #5 which is using the affiliate marketing business model.
Affiliate marketing has been around for years now and it’s an incredible way for anyone to get started earning money online with their blogs because you can get started very easily and no cost as most affiliate programs are free to join.
The blog format is actually perfect for affiliate marketing because you’re able to warm up your visitors and can show them how these affiliate products you want to promote can help them solve their problems.
If you can do that, the more trust you can earn, the more likely your visitors will want to check out your recommendations, and the more money you’ll earn as more of your visitors buy.
I also really like display ads as you just set that up and you’re earning on autopilot after that but you’ll need to have a lot of traffic to get to the really good ad networks where you can earn $20 – $100+/day.
However, affiliate marketing makes up 3/4 of my income so they can be a significant part of a blog’s income if you’re able to provide relevant solutions to the problems that your audience is searching for.
There is much to learn about this concept and how to apply to your blog, so getting training on how to do all this correctly would be a wise investment for you.
Blog Monetization: The Five Success Principles
You can have all the ways of earning money on your blog but none of that matters if you don’t build out your blog website properly to get targeted visitors.
Therefore, it’s important that you know what you need to provide on your blog in order to attract the right visitors and make sales.
Here are 5 principles you can apply to your blog to get you earning and make your blog a success:
#1) Provide Great and Valuable Content
I have slightly mentioned the importance of content in blogging.
Right from the get-go, let me break the myth that any content is good. No. That’s not how it works, especially if we are talking about SEO content.
The content has to be substantial and in-relevance. If you want high conversion rates, you have to make sure that you have provided valuable content to people in your niche.
Content is king. This is the phrase that I always tell my readers whenever we talking about blogging and monetization.
Without content, a site is simply dead–one way or another. You cannot expect people to stay if your content is bad. It is like entering a movie house with a bad flick. Everybody just simply leaves.
The art of making content is crucial. One way or another, the potential of your blog to actually earn money relies on it. Conversion happens within the content.
If you have good, high quality write-ups and you have excellent call-to-actions in your content, people will actually dig what you are promoting.
However, just like what I have said, ordinary and bad content don’t work.
When you write content, you have to make sure that it is relevant, organic, and original. Your content should help your readers with something, offering suggestions to help fix a problem or offer solutions that they didn’t think of.
Providing high quality content means that what you have created should not contain any spammy attributes. Google does penalize it and it is a very, very bad thing.
The goal of providing valuable content to your readers is so you can build trust. Once you have trust, they will listen to your recommendations and buy.
#2) How To Get Massive Traffic On Your Blog
Another crucial part of making money out of search engines is understanding SEO.
With that high quality content you have created, you want to make sure people can find your blog posts and there’s no better than than to use the SEO method to get visitors from search engines.
SEO, or search engine optimization, is the heart of every profitable blog these days. Without SEO, they will not reach their stature at all.
This article is not enough to encompass how to master SEO. Even if you dedicate a day in your life, learning the ins and outs of is still quite difficult. That’s how complex this matter is.
However, this should not discourage you at all. If your objective is to earn money through blogging, SEO is indeed crucial.
Well, SEO is the one that allows people to see your blog or site on the internet without having to promote it yourself. You have to realize that you are not the only one who has the same mindset.
Furthermore, you have to stick into your mind that you are not the only creating content for a particular subject matter.
It is not an exaggeration if we say that you have thousands of competitors that are trying to steal the spotlight.
SEO is the one that determines the winner of this fierce competition. Therefore, before you start making blogs, you have to make sure that they are optimized for various search engines to see them.
Great title headlines, use of keywords, appealing meta description, and substantial links are among the basic stuff that you should learn.
Does blogging make you money? Of course, it does if you have a consistent stream of free traffic flowing onto your blog everyday like mine does.
Here’s my 100% free traffic for one month as per Google Analytics:
So, in order for your to make money from your blog, you need to make sure that you master the concept of SEO, if you don’t, you will not have much visitors on your blog and you won’t be making money.
Instead of learning it all over the place, it’s best if you learn it where I did, at a training platform that trains bloggers on how to use this SEO method and also how to apply affiliate marketing properly to your content.
#3) Consistency and Patience
One of the biggest mistakes that new bloggers make is rushing things out. They have this idea that once they have published an article or content on their platforms, money would soon come after. That’s a big no.
Monetizing a site requires a lot of time and dedication. You’re going to need a lot of articles and you will need to be consistent with your content creation.
In the first months of your blog, you have to expect small or no yields. But that’s completely okay because it takes time for the SEO method to work.
Nobody makes it big on the internet overnight. Some even have spent decades to get established.
Patience and consistency go hand-in-hand with each other. While you are exercising patience, you also have to be consistent in your work.
You have to create high-quality content all the time. People should not see that your quality is degrading over time.
That would cause them to lose interest in your blog, which in turn, loses your opportunity to earn.
Just do your thing even nobody is looking right now. When the time comes, you will be able to earn the trust of your audience.
Creating engaging and relevant content on a weekly schedule will help boost your ranks eventually.
You can really see this in my income proof below. Don’t ever believe that success can happen overnight.
#4) Work Hard
For some, blogging is a form of leisure. They just do it to entertain others or make sense out of their daily adventures.
These blogs are not as bad as we have already seen personal blogs that have rockstar content. They are simply amusing to read and view.
However, when you’re wanting to blog for money, you need to take this blog a little more seriously because you are in business essentially now.
Therefore, you will need to put in some hard work if you want to see results from your blog and learn the necessary techniques that are required to get massive traffic.
People who had thought that blogging is just another errand will typically fail because they don’t take it seriously and won’t be building their blog the way they should.
You really have to put in a lot of hard work like really dedicate yourself 15-20 hours a week to work on your blog if you can, even more when you can add more time to your business.
You need to work hard to make a good blog that earns money. In fact, there will come a point where you need to hire people to work with you. That’s the kind of weight that you have to carry for you to make something big.
At this point, you will realize that blogging for money is not an easy thing.
You have to put in a lot of work and not see results til much further down the road. Delayed gratification, get used to it.
If you don’t have the heart of it, you will eventually stop and fail which will make you lose your chances of earning a significant stream of income from your blog.
#5) Get Training
We cannot blame a person if he/ she thinks that blogging can be freestyle. After all, what they are making are blogs about the things that they are interested in.
So, does this mean that you can just do anything you want and expect returns from it? Although that’s a promising thought, you shouldn’t settle to it.
Well, if your intention is to monetize your blog, then proper training is necessary.
You have to take into account that we are dealing with search engines here. If you want to appear on the index, you have to make sure that your blog has all the necessary qualities.
Learning the technical aspects of blogging is quite essential so that you can get ranked on search engines and get found on first page of search results.
Training yourself how to make a successful blog is imperative to overcome the ordeals. There are a lot of features that your site should possess if you wish for it to get an audience.
Fortunately, the blog training platform I found has made my blog a success as it earns a 4 digit income every month as I mentioned.
They taught me how to set up my blog, build a strong foundation for it, taught me how to create valuable content, how to use SEO to attract visitors automatically, and how to apply affiliate marketing that makes visitors convert into customers.
They taught me so well, that I have even become a Super Affiliate within 2 years of starting my blog, so their training works!
You can also train yourself with the use of available resources on SEO websites, YouTube and online SEO forums, but you have no idea if that information is outdated or relevant in today’s climate.
As well, you don’t know if you are getting ALL the info you need too.
That’s why getting trained from a proper place is definitely worth your investment because you are going to learn real online skills that will make you money for years to come.
In addition, you’ll need help along the way and this training platform has an amazing community that has helped me my entire journey and I know they will help you too.
