Everyone is looking to take a piece of the online action to earn extra money from home online so they can either supplement their income or build a new income stream so they can be at home with their families or have more control over their finances.
I can tell you right now that I love having my laptop lifestyle and my online business has offered so much flexibility for me to be there for our girls as a stay at home mom.
It took me a year and a half to build up my online business to give me a 4 digit online income; it has continued to grow since and in Aug/18, it gave me $4.9K.
Building an online business takes some time because you’re learning something very new and the way things work with Google, you need to have patience in this game.
Most people fail because of this one fact, no patience and everyone is in a hurry to make money.
You’ll also need to work hard for it like I have been doing for almost 2 years now, and again most people fail here to be consistent because, when you have no boss, it’s easy to slack off and not do the work.
I’ve done many reviews of different systems and programs on my site here and I can tell you right now that there are more scams out there than real, legitimate programs, and the moment I found it, I was determined to share it with the world.
This is why my site was created.
I want to lead people to legitimate programs and systems they can really use to help them make some money online.
I also realize not everyone want to make a full time income like I do, so this post is dedicated to all of you who want to find different ways that will help you earn extra money from home online.

SHARE YOUR SKILLS & TALENT
The opportunities below here will require a little more of your time and effort but you also have bigger rewards if you keep at it and build a good profile.
On some of these places, you’ll be able to share many different skills you may have and you will be able to make money with more than one skill.
The more you build up your profile, the higher your earning potential.

- Fiverr – On this free platform, you will have the most variety of things you can do for others or offer your services for others. You will find that there are “Gigs” that people put on there asking for help to do certain things of various tasks like writing, graphic design, social media stuff, creating videos, and many other sorts. - Upwork – This is another great free platform where there are many asking to hire people from all different categories like virtual assistants, web developers, writers, accountants, sales, customer service, and many more.
TRANSCRIPTION
Transcribing is about taking an audio file and putting it into text word for word. The audio files could be of anything like a meeting, conference, a conversation, a speech, etc.
This needs a bit of training and knowing what to do, so that you can provide your clients with the best quality of work.
Transcribe Anywhere is one of the best courses if you want to go into this field as they not only train you but also tell you where you can find these transcription opportunities.
There are two types:
- General Transcription (Free Course Here or Read review here) – General transcription is for any purpose but legal. Legal has it’s own set of rules that must be followed, so this free course is good for general transcription use but the paid version is even better.
- Legal Transcription (Free Course Here or Read review here) – Legal transcription is definitely high in demand because of low qualified people who can do it. This course will help you get qualified because it goes into great details about how to do and even gives you samples to practice on as well, it’s a very course, especially the paid version.
You could really make an online career about of either types on transcription but the one for legal transcription is definitely in higher demand because of the qualifications it needs which you can learn about from Transcribe Anywhere.
CREATE ONLINE COURSES
Did you know that you know something that someone else don’t know?
You can use your knowledge to teach online and there are literally so many topics you can choose from, basically anything you want to teach.
You can also sell your course on not only one platform but multiple, do you see the potential? You make your course once and sell it over and over again on multiple platforms!
This is a great way to earn passive income, and really work at your own schedule as well.
Online teaching opportunities are all around us and in the online world, anyone can teach without having a teaching degree or any credentials.
If you have the know-how on a particular topic, you can sell it!
There are so many platforms out there you can choose from to sell your courses on like the following ones that I recommend:
Those are the top and very popular online course platforms you can sell your courses on, some are free and some have a member fee.
On those platforms, you can even find courses about making online courses so you can learn from others on there too!

Making online courses is a great way to build a good passive income stream, the more you can make, the more passive income you will earn.
Your earning potential will depend on how you market your online courses, as well as seeing which platform seems more appropriate for the topic you want to teach.
There’s also an article here from Forbes that have other online course platforms as well if you need to check out more but the four I listed above are more than enough for you to start with.
The first two Udemy and Skillshare, they are more popular for everyday folks and more of a marketplace for online courses (anyone can jump on to search for and buy a course).
For Teachable and CourseCraft these are more geared for bloggers/business owners who want to have their own online courses for their businesses and promoting their online courses on their own.
E-COMMERCE – ONLINE SHOP
Have you always wanted to start your own online shop?
I sure did and I had two of them which I had built on my own with self-hosted sites (which entails a lot more set up) but nowadays why bother when you have platforms like Shopify to help you do it all very easily.
Having your online shop can be quite involved depending on what you’re selling. Of course, you could be like me and make your own products but when you do that, you have so many aspect to think about:
- The product itself, could you actually make it or need to have it manufactured?
- Packaging
- Branding
- Distribution/shipping
- Payment processing
- Inventory
- Supplies
- Finding the right vendors/suppliers
- Website building
- Marketing
- Promoting
- and much more
There are many aspects to shop ownership that one must consider, but there’s also another method like drop shipping that you can use instead.
Drop shipping is where you don’t touch the merchandise at all and the products are produced by someone else, you will handle everything else about your shop except for the product and shipping of the products.
Another method that you don’t touch the inventory is those print-on-demand t-shirt companies that work somewhat like drop shipping because they ship custom made t-shirts for you.
You sell a t-shirt on your site and then it goes to their queue to make it for you and ship it to your customer.
Shopify works with multiple companies via apps you can add to your online shop that offer services like drop shipping and print on demand t-shirts.
They also have resources and training that will teach you how to do all this with your store as well.
Shopify also have an app for Aliexpress if you want to use products from overseas, there are just many avenues and their shops are very flexible this way to add this or that app to help add functionalities to your online store.
I would highly recommend you checking out Shopify if this is what you want to do.
BEST FOR LAST – HOW I MAKE MY 4 DIGIT ONLINE INCOME
Bottom line is that, nothing that I’ve ever tried has given me what my online business gives me today:
- Freedom to work where I want as long as I have wifi,
- Have my own flexible schedule,
- Help thousands of people,
- Making 4 digit passive income stream.
The best part of my online business is that I don’t even advertise. I don’t spend any money on promotions or marketing and I get anywhere from 1,000 – 1,600 visitors a day these days on my online business.
This is because I know how to build my online business that attracts it’s own free organic search traffic from Google.
Once you know how to do that, you don’t need to spend any money on advertising or use social media as they are unmatched to what SEO could do.
It’s not hard to learn as well…. remember I had to learn how to do this, I didn’t just know it, so why can’t you learn it too?

However, don’t check out my guide if you’re NOT willing to:
- Work hard, even through the initial months when you’re not earning,
- Be patient, Google will weed out all the quitters,

Remember that you’re building a business which takes time to do, there’s no rushing in this game and definitely not a get rich quick scheme.
If you need to build an income faster, then maybe the other methods above will help you but if you’re looking to build something substantial and long term that will last far into the future, then building your own online business is the way to go.

With affiliate marketing, you are truly building a business, therefore it will take some time, you will not be making much in your first year because that’s just how the business goes, but you could see a huge difference in your income come end of your first year to your second year.

Hi Jonathan, if you are seeing an amount instead of being able to register for free, it means that you’re from a country that’s not eligible for and you will have to use the Premium account.
There are 10 countries not eligible due to high risk of fraud so to protect the community, they make those countries pay for access.
Truly, you will need the Premium anyway and it’s well worth it as you can see last year I made $40K!

This is a great article and I learned a lot about the different ways we can earn online which is way more than I ever imagined. Of all the ways, which one works best?
Hi Steven, it really depends on what you’re looking for because the more money you want to earn online, the more time and dedication you’ll need for it.
So if you want to just make a little bit of money, then those survey sites are okay to do but you do waste more time than you make.
The online courses you can create and sell over and over is a good one for some stable income, but you will need to be dedicated in promoting your courses which you can do by building an online presence with a website or a YouTube channel to show what you can teach in your courses. This route can lead to a 4 digit online income if you’re dedicated enough to put in the work required.
The method I use is affiliate marketing and this is how this website you’re on, workanywherenow.com, earns most of its monthly 4 digit income. This website is also a live success story example on the affiliate marketing training platform that I learned at. Check it out here!
So, don’t try everything, try one thing at a time for a longer period of time before you try something else. None of these methods will get you earning fast because it’s based on free traffic.
But if you’re dedicated and commitment to learning and working hard, you never know what you can be earning online!

The affiliate marketing business model is a simple concept to grasp because all you’re doing is recommending and promoting other people’s products or services to earn a commission when you make sales through your affiliate links.
So the concept of it is easy, but actually earning commissions is a little more involved as you need to build trust with your audience first.
How you build trust is building valuable and helpful content in the niche you decide to go in. So, let’s say you want to do dog grooming as a niche, you will give tips on how to groom a dog, when to groom, and all sorts of information on grooming dogs.
While you’re providing awesome info to that niche audience, you’ll be recommending to them what tools/supplies they’ll need for their grooming needs.
You don’t even have to sell in affiliate marketing, you just tell your audience what grooming tools you have been using or suggest what would help with whatever particular problem for that grooming issue.
So, this also means you will need a platform to discuss such problems and help fix for your audience, which means you’ll need to build an online presence.
Building an online presence is the harder part of the business as it takes time to build but you will be building an online asset that you’ll be able to earn from everyday once you have established yourself and enough trust.
This is why training is so important, if you don’t know how to build an online presence, get the training that I used right here.

Hi Mike, thanks for visiting and there are a couple of options if you want to have your own online shop. You can first create your shop on Shopify as suggested above or you can build your own with the WooCommerce plugin with WordPress.
Where you would get your products is either you make it yourself, or you have it made for you, or you use drop-shipping which is where a manufacturer makes and fulfills your order for you and all you do is the customer service portion.
Other than that, if you totally want to be hands off in the customer service portion, then promoting other people’s products for commissions on new sales would be your best bet using the affiliate marketing business model.
That’s the method I’ve been using since 2016 to earn money online, so you can try this as well but I highly suggest following step by step training or else you can get really lost.

Thanks for visiting and stopping by! Sorry to hear about the survey sites, but yes, the majority of them aren’t very good at all actually and it’s not an easy way to make money online.
There really isn’t any “easy” ways to make money online as what one needs to do to make money online is by building businesses like I have. However, in order to build a business online, you’ll need training so you don’t waste more time to figure it all out on your own.
Check out this training here that I’ve been using since 2016 that taught me how to build my 4 digit monthly online income as well as becoming a Super Affiliate in 2018.
That’s your best bet until I build my own course of course. 😉

Otherwise I do not see what the benefit is to you? I don’t see advertisers.
Hi Amy, yes, the links to the different places are affiliate links, so if you sign up to one I will make money. It depends on the program, you may or may not need to buy something before I can make money. So like for the survey type ones, you just have to sign up and I will get a small amount earned. But for other ones like training or online course platform, I only make money if you sign up to those memberships. I don’t make money if you just go on those sites, however, that doesn’t mean I won’t make money if you decide to buy later.
Most of the time, you earn in affiliate marketing by making sales.
